Career Explorations is committed to providing your child with the tools they need to drive their future. We are here to help your son or daughter stand out against all of the competition, and achieve their personal and career goals. We are firm believers in the importance of work experience - but are also aware that an internship alone won't get you noticed. Employers are looking for young professionals - students that exemplify both the ‘hard' and ‘soft' skills necessary to excel in a professional environment. College is a fantastic opportunity to brush up on your ‘hard skills' - the classes you take, and how you do in them, prove your technical knowledge and ability to think critically. However, ‘soft skills' are far harder to acquire in academia. Often termed "professional development", these soft skills demonstrate to potential employers your ability to hit the ground running and function as a representative of that firm. Interviewers ask what you've accomplished professionally - but what they're really looking for is HOW you performed in the real-world. Refined professional development skills ensure that you make the best impression on everyone that you interact with professionally, and as a result, are often given the best opportunities to prove yourself.

Career Explorations focuses on both crucial aspects: real world work-experience AND the professional development skills necessary to excel at your internship and beyond. We begin our program with a curriculum from top business schools and industry consultants to offer your son or daughter valuable insight into how to maximize their summer internship, no matter what their career field of interest may be. Throughout the program, we offer a supportive environment to help coach them through questions they may have about their experience or ways in which to deal with professional situations. The goal: give each of our students the support and experience they need to stand out against the competition and be able to follow whatever career path they ultimately choose.

Best of all - the internship and professional development skills are only a few aspects of our all-inclusive program! Our 8-week summer programs take place in some of the most exciting cities across the country. Career Explorations provides housing and a meal plan in safe, secure college dormitories where our on-site staff are always accessible. We organize and schedule multiple included activities each week ranging from Broadway shows and sporting events to trips to the beach and dinner cruises ensuring that each of our students get the full city experience. In short: live in an exciting city for the summer, generate a network of new, like minded friends, gain that professional work experience that everyone knows is critical, and have a fantastic time doing so. Many of our alumni call this experience ‘The CE Advantage' - we just call it, a Career Explorations summer.
