Chicago Program Events, Seminars, & Networking

The Chicago Internship Program events are one of the most popular features of our program. The events are planned to give you full exposure to your new city, while combining travel, with many of the most popular attractions in the city. Although your summer will be filled with gaining valuable work experience, it is very important that you gain the full experience of living in Chicago, and our events will do just that.

Tour of Chicago

What better way to kick start this summer than a phenomenal tour of the city! Chicago, known for its unsurpassed beauty and location on the picturesque shores of Lake Michigan, is infamous for its sports teams and fans; and has its own place in history for starting the Blues movement. You will soon be able to understand why this is known as "My Kind of Town." You will see many Chicago hotspots such as the Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park, the Theatre District, the Art Institute, Buckingham Fountain, and Navy Pier, just to name a few. This will definitely be an afternoon well spent in the Windy City! Be sure to ask why Chicago is known as the Windy City during your tour. The answer may not be what you would expect to hear!

Unsponsored Events

To help you build your friendships and get more comfortable with the city, the staff will continuously be planning unsponsored activities for the entire group to take advantage of. These activities are optional, but they will make sure to get you acquainted with your new city, as well as keep your social calendar full.

Comedy Show at Second City

Be prepared for an evening filled with laughter! Notorious to all native Chicagoans, Second City has produced some amazing alumni acts such as: Chris Farley, John Candy, Bill Murray, and Mike Myers. We will be able to watch some of the newest up and coming stars of Second City. You never know, you may even be watching the next Saturday Night Live superstar!

Cubs Game

We have the hottest tickets in town! We will be basking in the sun as we spend a glorious afternoon enjoying one of America's favorite past times. With the roar of the crowd and the energized environment of Wrigley Field, you're in for an exhilarating experience. Go Cubs!

Dinner Cruise on Lake Michigan

Picture over 150 of your closest friends for a classy evening on a luxurious cruise boat on the waves of Lake Michigan. Come dine and dance with us as we cruise into the sunset. We will disembark from Navy Pier and begin with a delectable dinner followed by dancing and entertainment. Take a step outside and get a bit of fresh air on the balconies while taking in the breathtaking views of Chicago's skyline. What a memorable way to end yet another successful summer!
