Discovery Internships guarantees an internship.
Students gain real work experience and increased insight into an industry. Each student has a personal Internship Coordinator that will help him or her determine the best internship opportunities based on their interests, skills, and goals and then secure an internship with a host organization from within our extensive network of internship providers.

The Internship Placement Process
|
- You can apply either to a specific program location or choose multiple locations and we will focus on the location with the best available internship opportunities for you
- Indicate at least three areas of interest
- If admitted, we guarantee you an internship in one of your selected industries!

- Within 3 business days, an Internship Coordinator will contact you for a phone interview
- We will discuss your career and college goals, ambitions, and the kinds of internship opportunities you can expect based on your skills, interests, and objectives
|
- You will receive an admission decision within 3 business days of your interview
- If accepted and enrolled, your Internship Coordinator will work to place you at a internship based on your customized internship placement plan
|
- Using your application and interview responses, we will create your internship placement plan and a target list of internships that we will pursue on your behalf
- You will have a general idea of the kind of internship you can expect in one of your chosen career fields, however we cannot guarantee placement with a specific company

- You will typically know where you will be interning within 8 weeks, however sometimes it can take up to several months depending on the time of year and your industries of interest

- We will provide you with the specific details of your internship (mentor, dress code, job responsibilities, etc.) by late spring. Get excited about your summer internship and get ready to take the first step towards your future!
