Explore the Exciting World of Fashion through our Fashion Workshop

Our DI Fashion Workshop is a geat option for students interested primarily in fashion design or who are looking for a more traditional learning environment than an internship offers.

Students in the DI Fashion Workshop take two classes of their choosing through FIT's Summer Live Pre-College Program in New York City, one morning and one afternoon. Classes are Monday through Thursday, July 12th to July 29th. On Fridays, DI's fashion expert will facilitate a fashion industry event, such as a tour. During the first week of DI (July 2nd to July 11th), there are no FIT classes. However, interns will begin their fashion education by going to fashion museums, textile manufacturers, showrooms, and other noteworthy sites in the garment district and NYC as facilitated by our in-house fashion expert.

Program Details

Our DI Fashion Workshop includes

The cost of our Fashion Workshop is $6295, the same as a NYC residential internship program.

Registration for FIT classes begins in mid-April. Some classes fill up quickly. Students in the Fashion Workshop register for FIT classes through Discovery Internships. Students are strongly encouraged to enroll in Discovery Internships by April 1st to secure their first choice preferences.

Some classes require a small materials fee. As part of our orientation, we will go to a local fashion supplier and pick up the necessary materials with you.
